Cynthia S. Kisser

Ms. Kisser holds a Juris Doctor Degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she also earned a certificate in Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.  She holds a Master’s Degree in American Studies from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia (now Mary Washington University).

She has trial experience in the Illinois state courts and has argued before the Courts of Appeals for the First and Second Districts for the State of Illinois.

Ms. Kisser is certified as a mediator by the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago, Ill.  She worked for many years in the non-profit sector prior to studying law.  Her writings have been published in annual editions of the Employment Law Update, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Daily News, the Law Enforcement News, and Skeptics magazine.

She was a co-presenter at the 2000 conference of the Academy of Criminal Justice Science.  She is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.  She is a member of the Board of Trustees of McHenry County College, and a member of the Board of Directors of a non-profit dedicated to suicide prevention among youth.
